Mandarin

Today in Mandarin we learnt how to count from 1-40. We also learnt the symbols that go with each of the numbers. Below are some of the numbers we learnt and the actions to go with it:

Yoga

Yesterday Room 20 was invited to join a Yoga class. We had to imagine that we were in the jungle,on an adventure. We learnt some yoga poses that represent the animals that we met on our jungle journey. Also we had to row boats and pitch tents, using the Yoga poses as a guide. Pictured below are some photos that were taken of us when we were in our Yoga poses. 

Mandarin

Last week during our Mandarin lesson we learnt how to say where we come from. Today in Mandarin we were learning how to say the members of our family's names. We had to design and create our family tree using Mandarin names only. Pictured below is a family tree made with all the new names we learnt. Also the bottom picture is my family tree. I hope you enjoy. 

Number 1 pet

Last week we learnt how structure a piece of persuasive writing. In small groups we created a persuasive piece of writing about an animal. We had to come up with a intro, a few reasons and a conclusion to back up why we think our animal is the best. My group's animal was the skunk. I hope you enjoy it.

Today in Mandarin we were learning conversations in Mandarin. Here is an example.
Sofǐӑ: Nǐ hǎo!
Bǐdé: Nǐ hӑo! nǐ jǐaào shén me
Sofǐӑ: Wǒ jǐào  Wáng Sofǐӑ. nǐ ne
Bǐdé: Wǒ jǐo Bǐde.  wǒ shǐ xǐn xǐ lán rén

We also learnt how to say our name in Mandarin. My name is 
Suǒ fēi yà.
